Mets Award Sterling Awards to Minor Leaguers

The Mets also awarded their top performers at each level the “Sterling Award”, and they are as follows:


  • RHP Chris Schwinden, Triple-A Buffalo
  • RHP Jeurys Familia, Double-A Binghamton
  • RHP Matt Harvey, Single-A St. Lucie
  • LHP Angel Cuan, Rookie League Savannah
  • IF Danny Muno, Single-A Brooklyn
  • C Camden Maron, Rookie League Kingsport
  • RHP Rafael Montero, Gulf Coast League
  • OF Maiki De La Cruz, Dominican Summer League I
  • RHP Persio Reyes, Dominican Summer League II

Joshua Satin was named their Minor League Player of The Year. Satin hit a combined .323 with 12 home runs and 76 RBI with Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Buffalo this season. He was named to the Eastern League All-Star team this summer and it was his 3rd consecutive season in which he reached an All-Star Game in the minor leagues.

Darin Gorski was named their Minor League Pitcher of The Year. Gorski went 11-3 with a 2.08 ERA in 138.2IP for the Single-A St. Lucie Mets this season and started their playoff opener against the Bradenton Marauders. He was also named to the Florida State League All-Star team this summer.
