The Mets have placed both Daniel Murphy and Jose Reyes on the Disabled List. Murphy suffered a Grade 2 strain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season. Reyes suffered a left hamstring strain, the same injury that landed him on the DL in June.
Mets have called up Rubin Tejada and Mike Baxter from Triple-A Buffalo to replace them on the roster. Mike Baxter was hitting .256/.389/.407/.795 with 1 homerun and 5 RBIs in 26 games with the Buffalo Bison.
