According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Cincinnati Reds express interest in New York Mets RHP Jason Isringhausen. Reds are looking for a middle reliever leading up to the non-waiver trade deadline. "Cincinnati is familiar with Isringhausen from their time together with the St. Louis Cardinals, and Isringhausen pitched in the Cincinnati system last year." - Walt Jocketty, Reds GM
If we remember, Jason Isringhausen expressed his desire to stay with the Mets to Sandy Alderson. Alderson replied, "It’s an expression of preference, and I take it into account, and weigh it accordingly.”
Isringhausen on the season is 1-0, 3.03 ERA in 29.2 innings pitched. Holding the opposing team to a .210 batting average against him.
