With the return of David Wright and the sudden serge of Daniel Murphy's bat, gives the Mets the kind of offense they been looking for. The Mets hope the red-hot duo can continue pounding the Reds as they try to take the first three of this four-game set at Great American Ball Park. Murphy has a .353 average with 34 RBIs since May 20, and has seven hits and four RBIs in the past three games.
Wright currently is batting .253, has a .346 average with nine home runs and 26 RBIs in 41 games against the Reds, while Murphy is 13- for-35 (.371) with eight RBIs in eight games. The Mets are expected to have Pagan to be back in the line-up after dehydration kept him out for two games. Pagan who is is batting .371 in nine games versus the Reds, had an RBI pinch-hit single on tuesday night.
