Mike Pelfrey continues to struggle verse the Philadelphia Phillies with another poor outing against them today. Pelfrey lasted just five innings, surrendering four runs on six hits. Pelfrey threw 85 pitches, 52 of which were strikes. Mets might have had a chance but the biggest blow came against them when Pedro Beato walked 3 batters and surrending all 3 runs. Beato lasted 2/3 of the inning. Walks have continue to hurt the Mets pitching staff this season & it showed in today's game. Mike Pelfrey has been the most inconsistent starter on the staff and with his 5-9 record with 4.67era shows.

Pelfrey is now 6-6, 5.12era in 17 games vs the Phillies.

Mets Note:
- Daniel Murphy has 71 hits since May 21st, which is the most in the majors.

- Mets are 7-7 on the season in rubber games.

Tomorrow's starters: Chris Capunano (8-8, 4.12) vs FLA: Clay Hensley (0-2, 3.60)
