Pedro Officially Signs with Phillies

Yes Mets fans i know its hard to believe it and we wish it wasn't true but Pedro Martinez has officially signed a one year deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. Martinez finalized a $1 million, one-year contract with the Phillies on Wednesday and can earn up to $1.5 million in incentives. Although Pedro will start his era with the Phillies on the DL, the phillies took a risk on him because of the lack of pitching they have been getting from the starters.
Pedro's Career starts at Citizens Bank Park:
Starts: 4
ERA: 7.85
Strikeouts: 25
Walks: 8
Opp. Avg: .278
HRs: 4
In his final year with the Mets, Pedro had a disappointing year with an ERA of 5.61 and a 5-6 record. Since signing with the Mets in 2005, he has only won 32 games with us. Pedro is 214-99 with a 2.91 ERA in 17 seasons in which he played for the Dodgers, Expos, Redsox and Mets. He also has 3-Cy Young Awards to his credit but the last thing I and many other Mets fans wanted to see was him pitching for the Phillies. It was great seeing him pitch for the New York Mets and loved seeing him pitch everytime i had a chance to see him pitch at Shea. All i can say is i wish him the best but the New York Mets will not take him lightly when we pitches against us. So i hope he brings his best stuff because i sure know the Mets will bring theres.
