Mets Sign Michael Fulmer

The New York Mets have signed there supplemental 1st round pick Michael Fulmer for $937.5K. Fulmer, who pitched out of Deer Creek High School in Oklahoma, was ranked the number 45th overall prospect by Baseball America and was selected by the Mets at number 44th overall. The Mets received the compensatory draft pick at number 44th when LHP Pedro Feliciano, a type B free agent, signed with the Yankees last offseason.

Fulmer hit .436 with six home runs and drove in 43 runs. Filmer went 10-2 with a 0.72 ERA and 127 strikeouts in 68 innings this year for his high school. His fastball has been said to touch 96MPH.
