Great win for the Mets tonight having to take back the lead four times during this game. Mets started off the game hot out the gate and David Wright looked like he never missed a beat playing in his 1st game back from the DL. Mets put up a 3 spot on the Marlins early as the opposing pitcher, Chris Volstad struggled. Pelfrey once again struggled against the Marlins as he has been in his career in Florida. Seem like Pelfrey cannot seem to figure the Marlins out, he came close to a decision but Beato came in a that chance was washed away. Pelfrey takes the no decision tonight but with the Braves and Phillies winning, the Mets needed this win to stay someone in the hunt. Mets got great pitching from Byrdak, Parnell and Isringhausen.

Game Notes:
  • Pelfrey Line - 6.0IP 5H 4R 4BB 3K 2HRs (115 pitches, 70 for Strikes) ND
  • Isringhausen career saves: 295
  • Reyes 45th multi-hit game
Chris Capuano 8-9, 4.16 ERA takes the hill for the Mets tomorrow as they face Clay Hensley.
