WP - Randy Choate (1-1)
LP - Bobby Parnell (3-2)
S - Leo Nunez (28)

Dillon Gee didn't particularly pitch well today against the Marlins only going five innings on 96 pitches. Gee who walked three, gave up 7 hits and 3 runs in a no-decision today. Mets looked like they were in business after Wright hit his 7th homerun of the season in the seventh inning off of Sanchez, giving the Mets 5-3 lead going into the 8th. Parnell came into the inning, Isringhausen not being available, gave up 3 hits and 2 runs off of a Logan Morrison solo homerun and an RBI double by John Buck. I still feel that Parnell isn't ready to become a major lead closer, although he has the blazing fastball, his command and pitch selections aren't good enough. Granted this is the 1st blown save of the season for Parnell, it still can take a toll on the mind set of Bobby.

Since being activated from the DL on Friday, David Wright has been hitting the ball as if he was in mid-season form. Wright in the series went 6-for-14 (.429), HR, 6RBI 4R since returning from the DL. Reyes also continues to hit, as he called 3 multi-hit games in the series against the Marlins. Reyes in the series went 7-for-16 (.438) HR, RBI 4R.

Game Notes:
  • Jose Reyes collected his League Leading 47th multi-hit game.
  • Wright going 3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R
