Why The Mets Should Call-up Josh Satin

The Mets should consider call-up INF Joshua Satin from Buffalo. The kid can flat out hit since being promoted from Binghamton to Buffalo, Satin has not slowed down at all. In 94 games with the Binghamton Mets, Satin hit .325/.434/.538/.962 with 11 homeruns and 60 RBIs. Not only did it hit for power he was also getting on base frequently. In 338 at-bats, he has 110 hits to go along with 57 walks.

Since being promoted to Buffalo on July 22nd, Josh Satin has been tearing the baseball up. In 12 games with the Bisons, Satin is hitting .365 (19-for-52) 1 homerun and 10 RBIs. He still has a consistant on-base percentage, slugging and OPS at .415/.479/.894.

Granted we already have Justin Turner at second base, but this team is straving for offense. Adding Satin to this line-up could give them a spark they need. I understand Daniel Murphy can play second base as well but having three catchers is really unnecessary. I hope the Mets call up Satin soon instead of waiting till September, would be great to see what this kid can do up in the majors.

  1. They're probably gonna call up Evans instead, but I think you're right. He deserves a shot
