Mets Players Who Cleared Waivers

Jason Bay - Bay who is still owed $38.8MM through 2013, was expected to be put on waivers. Bay is probably unmoveable but this had to be done to see if anyone would stab at the chance to claim the Left Fielder.

D.J Carrasco - signed a 2-year deal in December with the Mets, but has been back and forth with the Mets and Triple-A Bisons. He hasn't really lived up to what the Mets envisioned he'd be when they signed him.

Willie Harris - With less than $200K left on his contract, Mets placed versatile Harris on waivers to see if a team would be interested in his services.

Angel Pagan - After a great 2010 season, Pagan's 2011 season has been a decline since the start. After coming off the DL with a strained oblique, Pagan has not replicated his 2010 season. Mets will probably non-tender him after this season.

Chris Capuano - Capuano has a 4.71 ERA on the season and will earn only $1.5MM plus incentives, teams probably shied away from claiming him because he has been inconsistent in a few of his starts.
