The Mets took two out of three during their 3-game series against the Brewers at Miller Park. They are coming off their 1st series win of the month, taking two out of three at Petco Park after a 7-3 victory on Wednesday. Dillon Gee earn his 11th winning of the season, who pitched 6 2/3 innings, in which he limited the Padres to one run on five hit. “I felt like the changeup was better than in past outings,” Gee said. “I got back to using the fastball and changeup. That’s what got me here and that’s my pitch.”

The Mets have lost seven of 10 at home as they give the ball to Mike Pelfery. Pelfrey was taken out from his most recent start after four innings after getting hit on his pitching elbow by a line drive during Saturday’s 6-4 loss at Arizona. He also made a rare relief appearance during Tuesday’s 6-1 loss to the Padres, giving up a run and two hits in one-third of an inning. Pelfrey's last relief appearance came on April 17th, 2010, in which he earned his 1st career save in a 2-1 victory in the 20th inning against the Cardinals. “We wanted to get him in the game, get him an inning’s work and really keep his workload down so he could have a little bullpen with some game action,” manager Terry Collins said.
