Izzy Secures #300, Mets win In Extras 5-4

Scott Hairston drove in the go-ahead run with a fielder’s choice with one out in the 10th inning, as the Mets defeat the Padres 5-4 ending the 5 game losing streak. Lucas Duda and Josh Thole supplied the power as both homered in the game. Thole had a two-run homer and Duda a solo shot that gave the Mets a 3-0 lead off Harang in the second. Duda opened the inning with a shot deep into the seats in right field, his fifth homerun of the season. After Pridie walked with one out, Thole reached the home run porch down the right field line.

R.A Dickey who had lost his previous three starts, took a no-decision in the Mets 5-4 victory. He was pulled in the 7th after a Will Venable's two-run homer pulled the Padres to 4-3. Dickey allowed three runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings, struck out four and walked one. The Mets scored as many runs for Dickey on Monday night as they had in his previous three starts.

Manny Acosta pitched a scoreless 9th to keep the game tied at 4-4 going in the 10th inning. Jason Isinghausen allowed a walk and a single in the 10th before securing his seventh save in 11 chances this season and the 300th of his career.
