After second opinion in Charlotte, #Mets will stick with plan for Ike Davis -- idle 3-4 weeks, then surgery decision if required.
Ike Davis hasn't shown progress, but the Mets remains undecided on surgery, as reported by Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork. On the season Ike was hitting .302/.383/.543/.925 with 7 homeruns and 25 RBIs.
Davis was seen by two doctors Friday and was told to ease back on his activities, which means he's out for the season. The doctors want to try to rest the bone bruise in his left ankle joint and hope to still avoid surgery. Davis has been sidelined since a May 10 collision with David Wright on a popup.
