The Mets are now 100 percent certain they will not trade Jose Reyes before the deadline, according to sources. He changed their minds.
Ike Davis sent home by the mets, to heal. What a bizarre season it has been for him. No one knows when he will play again.
Great to see the Mets are retaining Reyes after the trade deadline passes. But the big question is, Are they going to offer him enough money and years for him to stay a Met for the reason of his career? Alderson knows the promise and skills that Jose possesses, so reaching an agreement with him this off-season is definitely on Sandy's mind.
As for Ike Davis, its just been a sad year to say the least for this promising first basemen. Davis has been out with an ankle injury since May 10. While Ike will wait to see if the ankle can heal on its own with rest, surgery may well be an option if he continues to deal with pain. Ike Davis on the season was batting .302, with 7HRS and 25RBIs.
