Mets offense didn't show up again today. Seems like once they are losing or lose a lead, coming back is a big problem for this team. With key players out Mets seem to not have the answers to get runners on base as well as score runs. In tonight's game, Mets went 3-for-28 (.107) 1RBI, 5BB, 7K and left twelve men on base. Makes you wondering coming into the game that a pitcher who hasn't started a game in 5 years held the Mets to 1 hit over five innings of work. Hopefully with Reyes on the way and Wright coming back Friday, Mets can start to heat up but it looks like the wildcard race is no longer possible for this team. Mets once again fall under the .500 mark at 47-48.

Capuano 7.2IP 7H 4R 2BB 5K, 98 pitches, 67 for strikes.

Capuano pitched decent today but the Mets bats when ice cold and gave him no run support. Mets look to Dillon Gee (8-3, 3.76) as they take on the 2nd place St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow at Citi.
